Here she is!
I know this blog has been very inactive since I traveled to Norway to visit Jeanette, Carlos and Emma, but we have been just a little busy!
I got up especially early today so that I could write a post. However, I didn’t get far before Emma woke up. Now it is evening and I have only just finished… such as it is.
My granddaughter is adorable but pretty fussy unless we take her out in the buggy or the car or give her movement in some other way! She likes to be on the go, she does… Unless there is action, she complains… and very loudly I might add!
Last Sunday, Emma was baptized at the church in Frederikstad. The weather was uncooperative but nonetheless, the day was splendid.
Then on Thursday we drove with Jeanette’s mom, Elizabeth, to a town nearby. In Halden there is a middle-ages fort that protected the Norse from Sweden. Very interesting… On the way back to Moss, we also stopped at two other sites. One was a ring of stones (kind of like Stonehenge but much smaller) and the other was at a place where there are Viking runes painted on a big flat rock. Apparently these can be found all over Norway.
I hope you enjoy the slideshow; soon I will publish more pictures of our other adventures. But for now (you guessed it…) Emma calls!
